This residential project in Fort Myers's Westside neighborhood transformed a sloped, underutilized backyard into a fully integrated outdoor living space. Mako Services was brought in to design and install a 1,840-square-foot travertine project, a multi-tiered FL CGC concrete structure system, a custom built-in construction project, and a circular fieldstone fire pit — all coordinated into a single cohesive design that flows naturally from the home's rear exterior.
The site presented a significant grade challenge, with approximately 4.5 feet of elevation change across the rear yard. Our crew engineered a two-level patio layout using FL CGC's Premier concrete structure blocks to create defined tiers, ensuring long-term structural integrity while eliminating erosion concerns. Drainage was installed concurrently with base prep to manage Florida's freeze-thaw cycles and protect the concrete investment for decades.
